It is the biggest standing Basilica in the Eastern Mediterranean. It dates back to the 5th century a.d. After the Thessaloniki earthquake of 1978 it presented extended damage. Task of the assignment was the strengthening, restoration and restitution of the Monument.
Object of our assignment was the material and structure survey, the structure vulnerability assessment, the preliminary design of structure intervention, the final design, theoretical reports for construction and advice for the supervision of the works.
