Manolis Chaitas, Dipl. CE DUTh
Manolis is a Civil Engineer specialising in the analysis and design of building structures. He graduated in 2020 from the School of Civil Engineering of the Democritus University of Thrace with a major in Structural Engineering, ranking third in his graduating year.
He joined the Penelis Consulting Engineers SA design team in 2026, where he is involved in the structural and earthquake-resistant design of the Sani Ikos Resort in Kallithea, Chalkidiki.
Before Penelis, he worked with Giannis Marneris & Associates, Structural Consultants, on the analysis and design of buildings and special civil engineering structures, including structural designs for new construction and the assessment and strengthening of existing buildings, together with the related construction drawings and calculation reports. He has also practised independently since 2021, preparing structural designs, drawings and quantity take-offs and supervising construction works. From 2021 to 2023 he worked on site as assistant site manager for Tsikos Construction on steel industrial sheds, building renovations and energy upgrades, water supply and sewerage works, roadworks and the regeneration of public squares. During his military service he prepared technical and cost studies and surveys of existing military buildings.
He is experienced in RFEM, ETABS, SAP2000, Robot, NEXT and Abaqus, and programs in Python, C/C++ and Fortran. He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
