The check of the rehabilitation study for the two underground R/C final consolidation tanks of the Biological treatment plant of Thessaloniki was performed along with suggestions for the improvement of the proposed intervention scheme. The tanks failed due to their abrupt evacuation while the surrounding water table was much higher than the initial design. The scope was the determination of the condition of the non visible parts of the tanks using field observations, hand calculations and nonlinear analysis.
