The central Tower of Hotel Metropol Palace in central Belgrade is a twelve storey dual R/C system with one basement. The building was built in the early 60’s with no seismic provisions, and following a architectural upgrading along with the addition of 2 storeys a structural and seismic retrofitting was required in order to fulfill the current Serbian Seismic and Concrete Code.
