The church has been built between the 12th and 13th century and is a registered monument by the ministry of culture. The main problem of the structure is the sliding of the front part which caused horizontal cracks at the dome and vertical cracks at the walls. A geotechnical survey and structural analysis were performed in order to define the retrofit procedure which consists of strengthening of the foundation using micropiles and the pali radice system combined with the addition of tendors.
