On Monday 28-03-2011 the Patriatrch of Alexandria and Whole Africa, Theodoros II honered professor George Penelis with the cross of Apostole and Evangelist Markos and dr. Gregory Penelis with the Golden Lion sign of the Order of Lion of the Patriarchate of Alexandria during the ceremony for the submission of the final design for the resoration of St. George Church of Cairo (MarGirgis). The ambassador of Greece to Egypt, Ambassador Lazaris attended the ceremony.
